about

as of late, i have had incredibly arbitrary bursts of inspiration and creativity. this is another one.

"see you soon" is the sister project of a record i released last year called "see you around", a collection of improvised solo piano works that occasionally had vocals. some of these songs were written in mere hours, while others were improvised right on the dime. this is in that same vein (with the exception of two of the songs here, one of which i wrote a month ago, the other being a cover). a few of the works here get to be a bit avant garde, but i believe there is enough here for everybody to enjoy, which i hope you do.

as always, these following creatures are the ones that should be thanked for this project's existence:

Aubrey Postier, Jackson Hendricks, Alexander Long, Matthew Sigrist, Paul Klompenhower, Evan Richardson, DeeDee Bradshaw, Jacob Bunge, Tracy Haefner, Deke Haefner, Madeline Chyba and Laura Schueler for without them these songs would not be what they are or have quite the substance to them.

Nathan Riley, Jack Benson, Maria Pearson, Erin Haefner, Katie Guenther, Alyssa Serrano, Liz Thomas, Johnnie Sistrunk, Jake Bebee, Thomas Crimarco, and Nolan Dost for being inspiring in other ways that are truly beyond my comprehension.

The Shrug Machine, for helping me with the original concept of creating these sorts of projects. his inspiring album, "Put On", can be heard here: shrugmachine.bandcamp.com/album/put-on

my dog, Mabel, for sitting still long enough for me to take a picture of them to use as the album cover.

anyone i personally know that i forgot to mention, for you're the ones i probably have to thank the most.

and lastly, anybody out there listening that i haven't had the pleasure of meeting on this journey we call life.

thank you.
